Rajasthan Royals (RR) is back on track after winning the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 18 of the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.

Chris Morris shone the ball with a 4/23 score before captain Sanju Samson took the lead with a bat and helped RR register a convincing KKR victory.

Chasing the 134 goal, the RR had a new opening team of Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was brought into the team, replacing Man Vohra and Jos Buttler in the middle.

Jaiswal started with confidence and scored four goals in a row from Pat Cummins in the second over and later took Shivam Mavi and produced the same result.

Varun Chakravarthy was awarded the ball in the third over and the spinner blocked Butler's front to successfully provide KKR. Sanju Samson was absent from the market for four and joined Jaiswal, who played well.

However, the opener with the right hand played one in the hands of the deep coat and returned to the tent after Mavi hit the fifth over.

Shivam Dube, who joined the captain, hit six in the final powerplay match as RR finished 50-2 after six overs.

Dube and Samson added important runs in the middle and did not hesitate to play a big shot. Two hit six each and the required running level was set below six at the end of nine overs, the RR was 77/2.

Chakravarthy returned to throw an 11th over and broke the stand for 45 runs after Dube found the best line flying in the hands of the third man.

The RRs were looking for boundaries in the middle and the pressure was better on Rahul Tewatia as his left hand was caught in the right leg after trying to take Prasidh Krishna.

The KKR pacers - Mavi and Prasidh Krishna - were pouring out their hearts and keeping the pressure on Samson and David Miller as the RR picked up speed, and 21 needed in the last four overs.

Miller took the pressure from the RR captain and finished off the RR innings, Sanju cleverly turned the strike to the other side.

Miller and Samson finished the race with a clear and peaceful goal as RR reached the target in the penultimate over, with six wickets in hand.

Earlier, KKR, which made one change in their XI game - bringing in Shivam Mavi instead of Kamelesh Nagarkoti, was set to strike first.

KKR openers Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill looked on for the first time playing with two left-backs - Jaydev Unadkat and Chetan Sakariya, hitting 14 in the first three overs.

Gill hit fourth in the fourth over and was given a life-giving shot by Mustafizur Rahman after the right-hander was sent off for 6 by Jasiwal.

RR was right on the money with the new ball and the pressure they applied helped them scratch the wicket.

Gill tried to get one in the 6th over but Jos Buttler's sharp strike inside the circle refused to rush to open the game and his direct strike sent Gill on the road, with KKR 25-1 at the end of Powerplay.

Rahul Tripathi, who came in at 3, was out of the market for four and Rana finished the over in style with six Unadkat.

Rana tried to go hard and increase the scoring rate in the 9th over but ended up involving the ball behind the goalkeeper when Zechariah took his first innings wicket.

KKR sent Narine at 4 to raise the level of hitting with her fearless characters. The left-hander hit four but was about to make the trip after prioritizing a brief delivery by Unadkat to Yashasvi Jaiswal, who rescued him blindly.

Recently, KKR captain Eoin Morgan passed away unfortunately following poor communication with his teammate Tripathi as KKR lost his fourth wicket.

Tripathi has hit 6 sixs and goes strong on each one as Dinesh Karthik joins him. KKR had hit more than 6 tad, with five overs left after Karthik had hit two fours.

Mustafizur was returning with his slow-moving batsmen and the arm-armer hit an important Tripathi well-positioned wicket that caught him deep in the back after scoring a goal.

KKR hit 12 runs in the 17th over by Zechariah, who skipped four free-hit followed by a wide range of delivery.

Morris hit two wickets for eighteen more. First, he got the better of Andre Russell, who just started to explode, followed by a Karthik wicket as both batsmen were unable to remove the passengers by staying longer and longer.

After 9 races that came with penalties, Pat Cummins started the final over with a limit. However, Morris added two more wickets to his numbers with his impressive bowling. Cummins hit straight into Riyan Parag while Shivam Mavi was eliminated in the final delivery as KKR ended at 133/9.
